Well I don't tend to do things by halves, so my first 'extended/double tier' cake is an 8" cube for some great friends joint 30th birthday on Saturday night.  Dark Choc mud for her, and choc mint mud for him, the best of both worlds all in one cake.

Its going to be an interesting challenge, and I'm really looking forward to making it.

As well as that we have my little girls 2nd birthday.  As well as the Hoot cake I made for her on the weekend, we have her real birthday on Wednesday, and Im planning on a Ladybug cake for her little family dinner on Wednesday night.  For a change I am going with carrot cake for this one with a white chocolate ganache under the icing.

So lots of caking for me this week, in all about 12-15 hours for 2 cakes :o!!

Welcome to my first blog entry!

Here is where you will find all the fun and chaos that is Too Cute to Cut, from what I am playing with this week, to pics of finished products, and all things cake related.

So who am I and what am I doing here?
For those that dont know me, nice to meet you :)  I'm Danielle a fulltime working, mum of one awesome 2 year old girl, who also decorates cakes for another living in the hope that one day in the future that will be my fulltime job!

I became addicted to cake when decided I wanted to have a shot at making my daughters first birthday cake, and boy have I come a long way in 12 months if I do say so myself

So where to from here?  Cake cake and more cake.  My house is starting to look like a shrine to cake related books and tools and my favourites on my computer seem to have been taken over by cake related links, and Im loving it.

The website is coming soon, nearly finished editing the photos and the content then away we go.
